When it comes to cheaters, it’s a pretty widely accepted opinion that, well, they’re not great. But, if you had the chance, would you ever announce to the world via the Internet that your ex-lover was unfaithful?
Such is the aim of LiarsCheatersRUs.com. The website provides a forum for scorned men and women to out their exes.
Two women, Stacey Blitsch and Amanda Ryncarz, did just that about their ex, Matthew Couloute, Jr. The two posted messages on the website saying that Couloute “cheated on all of his ex-girlfriends” and that he “lied and cheated his entire way through his 40 years of life.”
Wait a second – these are adult women writing this, not teenagers? About an adult man?
The two women have been hit with a lawsuit stemming from the claims, though. Couloute said that the posts have lost him clients, but FindLaw’s Stephanie Rabiner says that he may not have a case – noting that “if true, these statements are not fraudulent misrepresentations or defamation.”
Still, this raises the question of ethics: if a lover cheats on you, is it okay to tell the world that they did it? If you think so, you’re probably of the mindset that “once a cheater, always a cheater” is correct. But I would argue that outing someone as a cheater online only makes you look like the fool – after all, you should simply move on, and be thankful you found out and didn’t waste more of your time on them.
