When you have a little tiff with your significant other, do you ever wish you could let a panel of jurors decide who is right? You could both state your cases, present evidence, and then recruit random people's advice and opinions. That is the mission of RelationshipCourt.com, a website founded in 2008 by Chris Lakkees.
He happens to be Jessica Alba's ex-boyfriend from high school, reports TMZ.com. The couple's sad breakup led him to create this site, since he "always wished that someone would have mediated between Jessica and him so they at least could have stayed friends."
You can choose to remain anonymous during your trial, or post photos and videos so the public can deliberate more diligently. You also get to choose a reward that your defendant will have to hand over if you win the 12 vote majority.
While several of the "Hot Trials" currently featured on the site include boyfriend / girlfriend feuds, other rocky relationships try to get resolved as well. A mother pleads with her daughter to refrain from recreational sex and experimental drug use, while two male roommates argue if one is gay.
Since this site is free, I guess it's better than expensive therapy sessions. It can be helpful to hear an outsider's point of view. Plus, you may realize that your tiff was quite trivial in the first place.
