While men exaggerate their professions and income, women fib about their age and body type. Why do so many singles tell little white lies on their online dating profiles? Insecurity? Embarrassment? LiarLiarList.com welcomes members to post reviews of online daters. Just type their screen name, which dating site you encountered them on, then include their gender and age, and you can start dishing about all the dishonesty and disception!

Writer and marketer Beth Greenfield birthed this internet dating watchdog out of her own disappointing dating experiences. She believes this site will transform the online dating landscape, saying, "I think people will check their own reviews to see if somebody called them out and then fix the most egregious misrepresentations, like photos that are 15 years old or statistics that are blatantly untrue. We also want to hear about all those who were totally honest."

While this sounds like a practical application, what happens when the scorned and rejected singles seek revenge by lying about supposed liars? How can we believe the posted reviews are really the truth? Maybe we can "Ask Dr. Truth", another feature of the site where a relationship psychologist "tells all"!

You should be able to tell from the quality if the photos are recent. Plus, any that are taken too far away or costumed in hats and sunglasses should cause suspicion.  

Trust Your Gut

The best piece of advice to avoid the fakes and phonies is to trust your instincts. You should be able to tell after continual communication if the person is acting strangely. Watch out for the common warning signs like requesting money or professing love right away.

Bloggers beware! Professors of Ben-Gurion University in Israel have developed a program that identifies depressed people by analyzing their blogs.

The software looks at words, images, metaphors, and phrases that are used, then computes the results with a highly complex algorithm. A trial run has already shown an 80% match with actual psychologists' diagnoses.

Scientists want to use this method to systematically seek out the sad saps and send them to shrinks! Watch what you type! Your blog could be next!

Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew on VH1 has announced it is returning for a 4th season with an all new array of awesome addicts!

The most surprising may be Tiger Woods' mistress #1, Rachel Uchitel. It's not surprising that she's an addict, but that VH1 is actually calling her a "celebrity"! Although she claims to have an addiction to popping pills, TMZ reports that Rachel only agreed to do the show because she has a huge crush on Dr. Drew... and they're paying her $500,000!  

Another hot mess to join the bunch is Janice Dickinson, who repeatedly gives herself the title of first supermodel. She's practically a reality show professional, having appeared on The Surreal Life, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, and America's Next Top Model.   

Actor Jeremy London has also checked in to the Pasadena Recovery Center. You may remember him from Party of Five, Mallrats... or his kidnapping story last month where he claims he was forced to buy alcohol, smoke drugs, and joyride around Palm Springs. That would cause anyone to check into rehab!

Each year around this time Japanese sumo wrestlers square off against one another in the ring. But rather than wrestling to push each other out of the circle, the goal at the Nakizumo Festival is to make babies cry... as quickly and loudly as possible.

Spectators of the crying sumo contest at the Sensoji Temple in Tokyo may want to bring ear plugs for the 400 year old traditional game. Participants believe that a good, loud wail ensures a happy, healthy life. The big boys hold the little babies up in the air, with the idea that their cries will be closer to heaven. The first baby to bawl the loudest wins.

The wrestlers make ominous growling noises and freaky faces to complete the task. If that doesn't work, they bust out the scary masks. The judges just sit back and laugh while more mothers line up to add their babies to the battle. Are they crazy?

Victor Huang was enjoying a lovely swim off the coast of Wellington, New Zealand when he found an octopus to film. However, once the curious creature got a look at his bright blue underwater camera, he grabbed it with his tentacles and took off!

Victor swam rather swiftly after the thieving octopus for nearly 5 minutes, when he finally caught up with the creature and managed to trick him into dropping his expensive camera, which continued to capture the incredible experience!
