How many times have you wasted your time on someone that just wasn’t who you wanted or needed in your life? Do you ever wish that you were bolder and more direct in your questioning of a new love interest? Want to be able to cut through the BS?
Here are four questions we wish everyone would ask on their first dates to make the experience a bit more… honest.
Women to Men
1) Is there anyone else who may think you’re dating them right now? This is a good way to see if he is a player or if he is a liar. Good luck getting an honest answer to this one.
2) When was the last time you had an STD checkup? Aren’t you thinking it anyway? Why not ask. Health is very important to everyone. Men like to "dive without oxygen" if you know what I mean, so don't be shy about asking or about telling him to wear a condom.
3) If I don’t sleep with you tonight, will you go out with me again? Sad, but many men feel that if they strike out on the first night they were rejected. This is a surefire sign of someone not worth spending time with (if they don’t call, of course).
4) Do you shave, wax or pluck any of your body hair? Hey, some people like hair. Some don’t. If you are meticulous about your “manscaping” then she may see it as a “vanity/insecurity” point or maybe she just doesn’t want someone who spends more time in the bathroom than she does.
Men to Women
1) How much time did you spend getting ready? This is tell us with you are a natural beauty or a work of fiction. Also, this can help you gague how much bathroom real estate you will have after she moves in.
2) Do you have a “sort of ex-boyfriend” calling you currently? This is just good to know so you can confirm the fact that the guy in the leather jacket two tables down really is looking at you funny.
3) How often do you wash your hair? This is just a good benchmark to know, in case she uses it as an excuse in the future. Plus, it may give you insight into her hygiene habits.
4) Does your mom cook? Every man knows that a “hungry man is an angry man.” Knowing if she comes from a family that likes to cook will keep your belly happy in the long run. Trust me, fast food and takeout will pile on the pounds for both of you quickly, so make sure that cooking healthy meals is part of the relationship’s dynamic. This doesn’t mean you need to have her cook all the time though.
