
What happens when you take seven people ranging in age from 10 to 75, put them in an MRI machine, and ask them to “love” someone as hard as they can? That’s what folks at the Stanford Center for Cognitive and Neurobiological Imaging hoped to find out in their first-annual “Love Competition,” an event in which researchers measured the brain activity of participants as they focused on someone they love.
