You're strolling down the busy streets of New York City when a shadowy person on the ledge of a towering building catches your eye. Is he about to jump? Should you call 911? Nah, it's just art.

"Event Horizon" is the new exhibit by artist Antony Gormley and consists of 31 life-size cast iron figures scaring the crap out of people on sidewalks and rooftops. A similar project a few years ago in London caused their emergency services lines to light up. The NYPD is concerned that New Yorkers will make the same mistake so have been warning and notifying people about this elaborate art project.
Do you think this is weird, wonderful, or are you just wondering why he's doing it? Gormley told the press, "I don’t know what is going to happen, what it will look and feel like, but I want to play with the city and people’s perceptions." All of the naked bodies will be viewable from March 26th through mid-August in the Flatiron district, including one on top of the Empire State Building.
